Lavender x intermedia Grosso

A French hybrid lavender being a cross between lavender angustifolia and lavender latifolia grows up to  70-80 cms in height. Discovered in France back in 1972 by Pierre Grosso and is now widely grown around the world especially for it's oil production. Produces masses of long elongated flower heads of deep purple during summer. It has a very strong fragrance & aroma which makes it great as dried flowers, rubbings, potpourri etc., and is a heavy producer of essential oil.
